Project SEARCH is a one year internship programme, based on an international model which originated in the Cincinnati Children's Hospital in the USA, supporting young people with additional needs to gain skills and experience to go on to employment. The aim of the Higher Psychology course is to provide a broad overview of the discipline, to develop an understanding of psychological theories, concepts, research studies and methods, terminology and applications. There are three mandatory units, which include: Individual behaviour which provides an understanding of psychological approaches through the study of sleep and stress. It also provides an understanding of research methods and skills, including experimental and non-experimental research methods, research designs and analysis.
