Course description
This course is the stepping stone to an exciting career in engineering. You will study a variety of engineering subjects that include mechanical, systems, and renewables. This will provide you with the practical and analytical skills required for progression in the engineering industry or university level courses.
The course covers:You’ll learn how today's engineering systems work and contribute to modern life through a focus on practical applications. Engineers are often expected to know about all aspects of an engineering system (mechanical, electrical and so on) and this course offers the mix of skills that many employers and companies want.
You also get the chance to study at college as an associate of Edinburgh Napier University and so guarantee your place at university in either second or third year on various degree courses. as well as the course allowing for progression to many other universities across the country.

You may be able to gain direct entry to year 3 of a degree course once you complete your HND.

Employment: Graduate apprenticeship to qualify at technician level; foundation for engineering and technical jobs, including design, manufacture, servicing, maintaining and testing complex engineering systems.
