Course description
This course is aimed at those interested in a career in the hairdressing industry, and offers possible progression on to NC level 5 hairdressing.
The course covers shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying hair, and styling. It also covers essential skills in retail, reception, communications and IT. Why choose this courseThe course gives you the chance to work in a salon environment; to learn from guest speakers; and learn the basic employability skills required to become a hairdresser.
Learning outcome
Education: Level 5 hairdressing
Employment: junior role within a hairdressing salon.
Entry requirements
• At least one National 4
You should also be motivated, enthusiastic and interested in the hairdressing industry.
We welcome applications from mature returners, including those who lack formal qualifications or who wish to change career direction.
If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
