The Level 3 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Engineering (SDS) allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work.
This course will give you broad understanding of engineering.You’ll take part in a lot of hands-on training which will develop your practical skills and build your knowledge of the engineering industry. Why choose this course?
As assessment is normally carried out in the workplace. This minimises any time learners would need to be away from their work and allows candidates to generate evidence based on the actual work they are carrying out.
You will be assigned a highly experienced assessor to work with you on an individual basis. This assessor will support you build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and competence in this sector.
Learning outcome
SVQ’s in Engineering could provide progression to a degree programme with a Higher Education institution.
Entry requirements
- Candidates must be in a workplace where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities which allow then to gather the required evidence.
If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
