Course description

The Level 2 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Business Administration at SCQF level 5 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work.
These qualifications have been designed in partnership with industry and SQA to ensure relevance to the sector.
Upon successful completion, learners will gain an international recognised qualification which guarantees that they have the skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out their role successfully.

To attain the qualification candidates must complete 8 Units in total. This comprises:

As assessment is normally carried out in the workplace this minimises any time learners would need to be away from their work and allows candidates to generate evidence based on the actual work they are carrying out.
You will be assigned a highly experienced assessor to work with you on an individual basis. This assessor will support you build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and competence in this sector.

Learning outcome

SVQ’s in Business Administration could provide progression to higher-level SVQs as their job role develops or changes.

The level 5 and 6 SVQs could provide progression to:

• HNC/HND in Administration and IT, Business or other related area
• PDA in a Business related subject
