This course is the stepping stone to an exciting career in engineering. You will study a variety of engineering subjects that include mechanical, systems, and renewables. This will provide you with the practical and analytical skills required for progression in the engineering industry or university level courses.

  • Dynamics
  • Thermofluids

  • Engineering Maths

  • Electrical , Mechanical and Electromechanical Systems.

  • Programmable Logic Controllers
  • This course will allow for development of key skills relevant to engineering industry.

    Past students have progressed onto further study at Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde University some of top universities in Scotland specializing in – Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy and Enviornmental Engineering and Engineering with Management. (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)

    Employment: Graduate apprenticeship to qualify at technician level; foundation for engineering and technical jobs, including design, manufacture, servicing, maintaining and testing complex engineering systems.

    Entry requirements

  • NC in a suitable subject or two SQA Highers, preferably in related subjects or
    • Foundation Apprenticeship in a related subject
    • Applicants with only mathematics or physics Highers may also apply
    • We welcome applications from mature students with other qualifications or experience

      If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
