Course description
This course is for those wanting an engineering technician-level qualification or advanced entry into a university degree programme. It covers all aspects of mechanical engineering as well as quality management and business awareness.
The course includes:As well as traditional types of experiments and test equipment, you will use some of the latest mechanical engineering design software around on this up-to-date and progressive course. Industrial visits, university visits and contact with people working in the field are all part of the experience.
Learning outcome
Education: progression to third year of the BEng mechanical engineering at Napier University is achievable with suitable passes in the graded units. Students have previously progressed onto further study at Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde University (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
Employment: engineering at technician level.
Entry requirements
We also encourage candidates with relevant experience to apply.
If English is not your first language, ESOL Level 5 is an entry requirement for this course.
