Course description

This course provides detailed knowledge in both traditional and Islamic Accounting and Finance. Study conventional Accounting & Finance standards and practices, and how they affect Islamic frameworks.

You will specialise in applying financial knowledge. This will apply to both the conventional and Islamic finance sectors.

The course covers a range of applied areas of accounting & finance including:

knowledge of financial and management accounting
taxation
audit
security analysis and portfolio management
financial markets, institutions, and the financial instruments that underpin financial transactions.
The course also applies these areas to the Islamic finance sector.

This course also includes an optional eight-week internship matched to your chosen industry. Employers overwhelmingly believe graduates who have an internship experience are more employable due to your increased experience of the workings of international companies and organisations.

Scottish HNC minimum entry requirements: Pass

A relevant HNC with A in the Graded Unit

Scottish HND minimum entry requirements: Pass

Scottish HND with BB in the Graded Units, in a relevant subject

Scottish Higher minimum entry requirements:

Scottish Advanced Higher minimum entry requirements: A,B

at Advanced Higher plus BB at Higher.
