Course description
Learn about the multiple and complex challenges facing the energy industry, such as decarbonisation, wide scale digitisation, and decentralisation.
In oil and gas corporations, government agencies, and professional services firms, individuals are tasked with articulating the vision of the organisation, sector, or industry. You will learn to assess complex issues requiring close collaboration across similar fields in the social sciences.
You will learn to analyse, synthesise, and articulate concepts and practices relevant to the energy industry. You will understand the fundamental drivers of various energy markets, such as oil, gas, and electric power. You'll acquire foundational and contextual knowledge and skills in management, through classroom and work-based learning, and coaching from specialist academics or senior industry professionals.

Entry requirements
You should have a good 4-year degree, equivalent to a UK honours degree, preferably at upper 2nd class level or above. Candidates holding the equivalent of a good 2nd class lower degree may also apply. You must provide degree certificates and academic transcripts with your application. Preferred degree disciplines are Law, Economics, Geology, Petroleum or Mining Engineering, Finance. Work experience in the energy/natural resources industry is an advantage, though it is not a strict requirement for admission to the MSc. Please check our website for English language requirements.
