Course description
Our course is designed to develop you as a Children and Young People’s (CYP) Nurse providing holistic care in partnership with CYP and their families across a variety of healthcare and social settings. To support this, you will have an overview of health and wellbeing across the lifespan.
In years one and two you learn with your peers in the adult and mental health fields to develop core understanding and skills required to support the care of people across the lifespan. In year 3 you will develop your professional knowledge and understanding specific for CYP nursing, consolidating your learning from practice learning experiences. Completing this course will give you an academic and professional qualification with registration as a CYP nurse with the NMC.

Entry requirements
Scottish HNC minimum entry requirements: Pass
HNC in a related subject e.g. Healthcare Practice, Social Services, Applied Science, Social Sciences
Scottish HND minimum entry requirements: Pass
HND in a related subject e.g. Healthcare Practice, Social Services, Applied Science, Social Sciences
Scottish Higher minimum entry requirements: B,C,C
Higher English and a science Subject are recommended. English, Maths or Applications of Maths and a science subject are required at National 5 Grade C or above if not held at Higher.
