Course description

Geographical thinking is now fundamental to how we understand and might respond to the most pressing issues of the twenty-first century, such as climate change, social inequality, migration and urbanisation. By studying how places, policies and landscapes are being made and reinvented in a changing world, this degree will equip you with a deep understanding of the social, cultural, economic and political processes transforming our human and natural environments. Developing your geographical imagination through innovative virtual fieldwork, you'll gain the knowledge and skills to investigate, analyse and communicate how geography matters in our everyday lives as you work towards an independent research project to complete your degree.

- Develop an advanced understanding of the dynamic relationships between human and natural environments in a changing world. 

- Undertake innovative virtual fieldwork to open up new perspectives on how the world is made and the possibilities for how it could be remade differently.
