Course description
This pre-intermediate level course aims to build on your existing English language skills. You will strengthen your abilities when it comes to reading, writing, speaking and listening in general contexts. Enhanced language skills are beneficial for everyday life, work and study in the UK. ESOL qualifications provide students with opportunities to gain better employment and to progress onto further courses of study in further and higher education. The mode of delivery for this course will be a combination of face-to-face classroom tuition and remote learning, with a 50/50 split. Remote online classes will be delivered synchronously with live, interactive lessons which will be recorded to allow learners to view at a later time if needed. On successful completion you will be awarded a college certificate at relevant level.
Entry requirements
An authorisation slip showing the level achieved during the ESOL Placement Test must be shown at the time of booking therefore this course cannot be booked online. Please contact the Student Advice Centre for more information. On successful completion of this course, you could consider a full-time course in a subject of your choice, or progress to the next level ESOL course. Whether you wish to progress in your studies or enter the world of work, North East Scotland College has excellent progression opportunities, with links to eight universities across Scotland and great relationships with industry employers.
