Course description
Get to grips with basic but essential sewing techniques.
Sewing has re-emerged in the 21st Century as a fun art form and a great way to express one’s creativity in a very practical way. This beginners level course offers a firm introduction to this useful craft, and is intended to provide anyone with an interest in fabrics and fashion with basic sewing skills, as well as an understanding of materials and textiles. Upon course completion you should have at least one completed fabric piece, and will have the skills needed to sew your own unique creations/textile pieces for your home.
What you will experienceYou will be given plenty of hands-on training, and by the end of the course you will be able to demonstrate independence and creativity in the use of equipment and textiles. Outcomes include:
