Course description

This Seafish Industry Authority approved course is designed to improve the safety culture on board fishing vessels.

You will look at how to improve the safety culture on board fishing vessels through the management of safety. This course is designed for experienced fishermen.

What you will experience
  • Understand the legal requirements that control safety in the fishing industry
  • Understand health and safety hazards and risks
  • Be able to complete a risk assessment
  • Be able to develop a safety management system for a fishing vessel

    Progression:

    Other relevant STCW and/or Seafish basic safety courses include Seafish Basic Health and Safety, Seafish Fire Fighting Including Refresher and STCW Elementary First Aid and Seafish First Aid.
