Course description
A detailed introduction to mechanical maintenance.
The primary focus of this course is to provide candidates with a range of practical engineering skills and theoretical knowledge relevant to the National Certificate in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering. As such, this award is suitable for those those who wish to become a skilled crafts persons/trades person.
The course is both workshop and classroom based, and is at Intermediate 2 level – equivalent to SCQF Level 5.

Entry requirements
You should have SVQ level 2 or Standard Grade General (level 3), Intermediate 1 or National 4 qualifications in Maths, English and Craft & Design/Skills for Work Engineering.
Please note that prospective students may need to provide evidence of having the required entry-level/mathematical skill base.
