This course is for anyone wishing to understand and apply the principles of managing the day to day causes of anxiety and how it impacts on stress in general.

Applying the key learning points in this course can have a positive impact on your ability to manage (not eliminate) stress and anxiety.

Content is evidence-based and follows information, advice and guidance used by professionals in the field of psychology and counselling.

What you will experience

The course is broken down in to 4 bite-sized units with the following titles:

• Self-assessment
• Wellbeing and Me
• Making it Happen
• Resilience and Stress

On completion you will be able to:

• Assess your own level of stress and responses to anxiety
• Identify key trigger factors related to stress and anxiety
• Apply evidence-based techniques for managing stress and anxiety
• Create a personal plan to manage stress and anxiety
• Overcome barriers to establish greater control of responses to internal and external stressors
• Explain how managing stress and anxiety can lead to a more resilient and healthier outlook

The online materials include quizzes and exercises to help reinforce learning. There is also an online assessment to test students’ understanding of the topic on completion of the course.
