Course description

Sample different College subjects and experience the transition into further education at College. You will be introduced to a range of learning activities in areas such as Care, Sport, Social Studies, Enterprise, Wellbeing and Personal Development.

This course is the perfect course to support your transition into College – ideal for anyone not sure about what they want to study. It is an opportunity to experience College studies, sampling a number of subject areas to help you plan your future studies in an area that genuinely interests you.

You will be well supported throughout this course to help you become accustomed to learning at College by getting a sample of different subjects in different learning contexts.

What you will experience

This course will give learners an insight into Care, Sport, Social Studies, Enterprise, Wellbeing and Personal Development.

Your learning will take place in College classrooms but also on other College sites, with some focus on outside learning at appropriate College facilities.

You will experience a course with variety, and a hands-on-learning approach, supported by dedicated lecturers who will help you to make informed choices about progression to more specific courses, or to potential employment.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

This course is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme. This means that you are required to have access to your own laptop computer, netbook or similar device in class each day that you are in college.
