This practical course will build on your design and technical abilities, and ensure you have the skills and knowledge to effectively implement your ideas and designs.
This practical course will build on your design and technical abilities, and ensure you have the skills and knowledge to effectively implement your ideas and designs within Game Development. You will work on individual game projects allowing you to develop an in-depth and accurate understanding of professional standards and what to expect, when working in a game design/development-related role.

Progression:Whether you wish to progress in your studies or enter the world of work, North East Scotland College has excellent progression opportunities, with links to eight universities across Scotland and great relationships with industry employers.
Career opportunities are available in game design and development, content creation/management, multimedia development or project assistant/managerial work. Common roles include:
Entry requirements
- One relevant Higher together with three National 5 courses, all to be at least Grade C
- Alternatively successful completion of Computing with Digital Media Level 5 course, or Computer Games Development Level 6 course
- A Foundation Apprenticeship in any subject area will be considered equivalent as one unrelated Higher for entry to this course
- For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry subject to availability.
