Course description

Focus on the technical and creative skills desired by employers in the computer games industry and in the wider creative digital media, Esports and software development sectors.

This course focuses on the technical and creative skills desired by employers, in the computer games industry and in the wider creative digital media and software development sectors. Level 6, students will work together to effectively contribute to an Esports organisation, content creation as well as organising an Esports tournament. The award includes the softer skills regarded as important in the computer games industry including communication, team working and an understanding of the role of enterprise.

    • A minimum of four subject passes (C grade or better) at National 5, Intermediate 2 or Standard Grade Credit level
    • Level 5 core skills of Communication and Numeracy
    • Alternatively, applicants should have relevant work experience or successful completion of a relevant prior course at SCQF Level 5.
