Course description
This course will develop knowledge, skills and expertise required to complete the second year of the Higher National Diploma in Dental Nursing. The course covers qualifications in management, dental radiography, customer care, oral health, impression taking and research methods, etc. To view the state-of-the-art dental training facility at the Coatbridge campus click on access the link https://youtu.be/jGWDIxXhnhY Note, if accessing this course via evening class delivery it will take two academic years to successfully achieve the units which form the HND Dental Nursing. The delivery of this programme will be remote 6.30-9.00 pm on a Tuesday evening. What you will learn This course will develop knowledge, skills and expertise required to complete the second year of the Higher National Diploma in Dental Nursing. The course covers qualifications in management, dental radiography, customer care, oral health, impression taking, research methods etc. Progression Progression towards the BSc Dental Nursing or employment as a dental nurse.
Entry requirements
Students must be registered with the GDC and hold either an NEBDN qualification in Dental Nursing or a N/SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or a HNC in Dental Nursing. You must also have the full support from an employer who must be a dental practitioner registered with the GDC. Students who do not have an HNC in Dental Nursing but hold a S/NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing or NEBDN in Dental Nursing will be required to have successfully passed Graded Unit 1 and an additional unit on entry on to year two of the HND - this will be discussed fully at interview.
