Entry requirements
Scottish HNC minimum entry requirements: Pass
Year 2: 15 credit HNC Computer Games Development with B in Graded Unit must include relevant Level 7 Maths unit
Scottish HND minimum entry requirements: Pass
HND Computer Games Development with B in Graded Unit 2. The HND must include one of the following Maths units: Computer Programming: Applied Mathematics (level 7); Mathematics for Interactive Computing: Essential Techniques (level 7); Mathematics: Calculus and Matrices for Computing (level 7); Mathematics for Computing (level 8). In addition to the Maths unit, specific units are required depending on the stream to be taken: Software Development stream - must include the following compulsory units (or equivalent): Computer Games Development: Object Oriented Programming; Computer Games: Programming Fundamentals and Game Technology. The HND must also include one of the following units: Artificial Intelligence for Computer Games; Game Customisation & Scripting, Game Physics, Software Development: Abstract Data Structures; Programming a Game for a Mobile Device or Software Development: Object Orientated Programming. Design Stream - must include include 3 units from the following (or equivalent): 2D Animation; 3D Level Editing; Games Interface Design; Game Design Theory; Designing and developing an interactive product games; Narrative and Genre in Computer Games; Game Customisation & Scripting or Game Design: Pitch to Treatment
Scottish Higher minimum entry requirements: B,B,C,C
including either Maths; Application of Maths; Computing or a Science subject
