Become a Registered Nurse and develop skills to improve health and wellbeing of individuals, their families and communities. With a fully-equipped simulated ward area on campus and close to Scotland’s leading hospitals, studying at GCU gives you access to excellent facilities.
The Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Centre, a fully equipped simulated home and hospital environment, situated on campus, is used to provide opportunities for the development and practice of clinically focused skills in a safe, supported and highly effective learning environment.
You will experience a variety of clinical placements and will learn through a wide variety of methods. Clinical practice accounts for 50% of the course, including community and hospital placements as well as independent and voluntary sector experience.
Upon graduation you will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Entry requirements
Scottish HNC minimum entry requirements: Pass
HNC in most subjects accepted as long as you also have National 5 Maths/Application of Maths at C or Numeracy at SCQF level 5 See further information on year 2 entry requirements with an HNC Care and Administrative Practice
Scottish Higher minimum entry requirements: B,B,C
including Higher English or an Essay based subject plus National 5 Maths or Application of Maths at C
