Course description
This NPA Professional Cookery (Level 5) course will prepare you for entry into the hospitality industry, or further study on NQ Professional Cookery Level 6. Taught by chef lectures who have a wealth of experience, the emphasis of this course is on gaining practical cookery and bakery skills. For those with the right skills, the hospitality industry offers exciting career opportunities both in the UK and internationally.
During NPA Professional Cookery Level 5 you will learn:
- Professional cookery: Practical
- Food hygiene for the hospitality industry
- Pastry
- Soups, stocks and sauces
- Vegetarian cookery
- Gateaux Decorating
- Dough products
- Guidance

Entry requirements
- A relevant qualification at Level 4, or equivalent relevant experience in the catering industry would be advantageous
- Core skills entry Level 4
- If English is not your first language you should have ESOL Level 3, or equivalent
- You must have an interest in the hospitality industry and demonstrate this in the application form
