Course description
ICDL is administered in the UK by the British Computer Society (BCS) but is recognised throughout Europe and much of the rest of the world. The ICDL Advanced qualifications are recognised individually demonstrating the application of a specific range of IT user skills and knowledge in the workplace, meeting employer workforce demands. There are four ICDL Advanced units and you can obtain a standalone qualification in any of one of them. With each unit there is a practice test and final test, which is included in the cost. ADVANCED EXCEL Advanced Excel Spreadsheets is one of the 4 units which students can study as a standalone course. This module sets out advanced skills that can be used to produce sophisticated reports, to perform complex mathematical and statistical calculations, and to improve productivity using a spreadsheet application. Module Goals Successful candidates will be able to: Apply advanced formatting options such as conditional formatting and customised number formatting and handle worksheets. Use functions such as those associated with logical, statistical, financial and mathematical operations. Create charts and apply advanced chart formatting. Work with tables and lists to analyse, filter and sort data. Create and use scenarios. Validate and audit spreadsheet data. Enhance productivity by working with named cell ranges and macros. Use linking, embedding and importing features to integrate data. Compare and merge spreadsheets. Apply spreadsheet security features.
Entry requirements
Basic ICDL is preferable but not essential.
