Course description
This IOSH Managing Safely course provides the knowledge and skills required to deal with health and safety issues in the workplace. This course aims to ensure and enable delegates can assess and control risks and hazards, understand responsibilities for safety and health in their job role and investigate incidents. Understanding the importance of managing health and safety in the workplace Understand how to assess, reduce, identify and control risk in the workplace Understand responsibilities for safety and health in your job role Investigate incidents You will review case studies and each module contains examples and scenarios, which will highlight key learning topics. Content includes: Introducing Managing Safely Assessing risks Controlling risks Understanding responsibilities Understanding hazards Investigating incidents Measuring performance Managing Safely is arranged by Glasgow Clyde College in collaboration with IOSH and delivered by IOSH approved training providers. After successful completion of this course delegates will be awarded an IOSH Managing Safely Certificate and have a better understanding of health and safety responsibilities associated with their job role.
