Course description
Successful completion of this programme will award you with two National Progression Awards at SCQF level 5:
NPA in Administration: Office Skills and Services
and
NPA in PC Passport
You will develop a range of introductory skills, competencies and understanding of working in an office environment which will support both future career aspirations and further study within the administrative sector. In addition, PC Passport is a modern qualification that will teach you how to use contemporary software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It not only covers how to use the basic functions of these packages, but you will also learn how to use the collaborative and cloud-based features of the packages.
You will attend college on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, studying a range of Administration and IT related topics. This course is ideal for those who are considering progression to HND Business or HND Business with Information Technology next year.
Please note that this course continues through periods of study leave from school, and you are expected to attend classes during this time (except exam days).

This qualification will give you the chance to develop the skills and knowledge required to enter a career in many administrative areas such as local government, the NHS, marketing, retail, finance and human resources.
Entry requirements
Suitable for S4, S5 and S6 pupils who have achieved at least 3 National 4 qualifications (including English) and are working towards achieving, or are likely to achieve at least 3 National 5 awards at grade C and above, by the end of S5. Not suitable for those who have achieved National 5 or Higher Administration and IT, or will be studying these in the same academic year.
