The world's number one IT qualification, ECDL is the benchmark for digital literacy in educational systems around the globe. ECDL equips students with the skills to use a computer confidently and effectively, building on existing knowledge and motivating further learning. Tried, tested and trusted, ECDL programmes have been delivered to over 11 million people, in 41 languages across 148 countries. Over 2 million people have taken ECDL in the UK since 1997. The units that you can undertake are a choice of: • Word processing • Spreadsheet software • Presentation software • Improving Productivity • Database software • Security for IT Users • IT User Fundamentals • Using Email and the Internet ECDL is available at each of the main college campuses. This is a flexible learning programme which offers class tuition followed by testing. Most of the work can be carried out at home as well if you are unable to attend college regularly. As a student you can download Office 365 and use this at home assuming you have a compatible computer system. Security for IT Users, IT User Fundamentals – using Windows 10, Online Essentials – using Outlook and Internet Explorer Flexible attendance Can be completed in a year depending on student ability and availability to attend classes and tests Further qualifications in administration, computing or related areas within College
