Course description
This course is for S5 and S6 pupils who are still at school.
This course is being offered through Performing Arts Studio Scotland (PASS) at Edinburgh College. It gives young people the opportunity to study at college and gain a unique qualification and a range of experience in Professional Theatre Preparation.
The aim is to help students make an informed choice for future options after school regarding the Performing Arts. The course gives you the opportunity to achieve a National Progression Awards (at SQCF Level 6)
The award is also designed to meet the needs of learners who wish to develop a foundation for progression to further study and to provide skills and knowledge appropriate to the theatre industry.

The NPA is designed to equip candidates with the knowledge, understanding, and skills appropriate to the theatre profession and to develop a foundation for progression to further study in drama.
Learning outcome
- UAL Level 2/3 Diploma i Performing and Production ar6ts (Acting) - Progression route at PASS
- The NPA qualification has UCAS tariff points similar to 1 Higher at Grade B when applying for related film and media or drama degree
- Successful completion of the course can support progression to a college film, media, or drama-related course.
- The progression level will be determined by audition and interview outcome.

Entry requirements
Students in S5 & S6 working towards Nat 5 or higer level qualifications.
