Course description
Work towards gaining the international Cambridge First qualification recognised by companies and universities in order to work and study in the UK or abroad. • Interactive lessons using task-based methodology • Extensive and in-depth language development • Development of comprehension and productive skills for work/study purposes • Regular assignments • Practice using exam techniques This course is not formally assessed. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course. Tutor support available via email and teams.
Entry requirements
Students required to have SQA National 4 or equivalent (B1). Applicants will attend a group information session and will be tested at interview to determine their English language level. Minimum age: normally 18, but students over 16 may be accepted if they are staying with family or a legal guardian. Applicants should have an interest in learning how to work with and support ESOL Literacies learners, from diagnostic assessment to planning and delivering materials and activities, in addition to supporting learners’ digital skills.
