This course allows you to explore the disciplines of Hairdressing, Beauty and Make-up Artistry whilst building real world skills in our state-of-the-art salon environment.


You'll learn how to perform professional shampooing and conditioning treatments, and how to effectively detangle, section, secure and control hair. As an introduction to the industry, you'll get to experience, consider the benefits of, and learn how to perform a variety of beauty therapy treatments.


You'll have the opportunity to express your creativity, build your confidence and develop transferable skills, such as customer service and teamwork, that are valued in the workplace.


You will discover how to create a variety of shapes and styles on hair using the appropriate tools and equipment. You'll explore and interpret your own individuality and style before planning and preparing a style on a mannequin head.


This course is enhanced by events and additional training opportunities with our key industry partners.

Entry requirements

This course would suit creative and collaborative team players who are open to learning new skills and techniques.  There are no formal qualifications required, just a genuine interest in the Hair, Beauty and Make-up Artistry sector.
