During this course you'll get a practical hands-on introduction to a variety of job roles in the hospitality sector.  You'll learn about the importance of customer care and how this contributes to the success of an organisation. You'll develop customer service skills and explore how to establish good relationships with customers.


You'll investigate the importance of IT and will practise organising and managing information.  You'll create and edit business documents using a variety of applications covering word processing, spreadsheets and databases.


You'll develop your employability skills including communication, teamwork, being flexible and adaptable, and demonstrating respect and consideration for others.   You'll consider job roles and responsibilities across the industry, and explore what qualifications are required for these roles and progression routes.


You'll have the chance to put your skills to the test during work experience in our training Restaurant and Bistro.

Entry requirements

This course would suit outgoing and enthusiastic students who have achieved several National 4 subjects and be currently studying at least 1 other subject at National 5.
