THIS COURSE IS AVAILABLE FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS IN S5 (2 YEAR PROGRAMME)
Across this Foundation Apprenticeship, you will explore elements that are essential to the success of any business.
During this course, you will learn how to:
- Become an inspiring leader - someone who sets the tone, culture and direction of an organisation.
- Develop your leadership style - being able to understand how a business runs and how to influence decisions, one of the key assets to any organisation.
- Develop administration IT skills - the vital support that allows any company to function effectively.
You will:
- Develop a unique set of transferrable skills, knowledge and behaviours that can be applied to any business - no matter how big or small.
- Study areas that will help you appreciate business priorities such as Business structures, Business Strategy, Enterprise, Human Resources and Finance.
- Have the opportunity to put your skills into practice during a work placement with a local employer (in year 2 of the course).
Entry requirements
Candidates should be intending to leave school at the end of S6. Essential criteria:
- Achieved three National 5s (A-C) (in S4) in any of the following areas, English, Maths, any of the three Sciences, Geography, History, Modern Studies or any of the Business subjects.
- Working towards a Higher (in S5 or S6) in any of the following areas, English, Maths, any of the three Sciences, Geography, History, Modern Studies or any of the Business Subjects.
