Course description
This course is a technician-level qualification that will provide you with the basics you'll need to enter into a career as a construction manager within the Built Environment.
During this course you will:
- Develop your technical knowledge and understanding.
- Have the opportunity to develop and apply your critical reasoning and analysis skills to solve construction problems, using current industry standards and by applying contemporary industry techniques.
- Develop your personal and business skills.
On successful completion of the course, you may be able to progress onto 2nd year of a Construction Management degree based on achieving a high result in your end of year Graded Unit.
Please note that on successful completion of this course, students will be awarded an HNC Built Environment.
This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 7.
Entry requirements
- One Higher at Grade C or above in an appropriate subject such as English, Mathematics or a Science subject; OR
- National Certificate at SCQF level 6 in Built Environment; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications or experience.
