Course description

Why Choose Supply Chain?

Supply chain management is regional, national, and global - it is everywhere. Supply Chain consists of many functions, from procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Logistics alone, is a key part of the UK economy, contributing over £127 billion and employing 1.7 million people.

Supply Chains are constantly evolving with new technology and innovation, modern production lines, strategizing product movement from source to final customer.

Supply chains are not just about moving boxes, they are moving information, data, finance. Supply Chains are predicting the future with demand planning, strengthening relationships with its suppliers - all over the world, and managing inventory to meet demand.

What do our students think?

City of Glasgow College is an exceptional learning facility. There was significant industry engagement across the 2-year period including excursions, employers visiting campus and most notably the HND graded unit which required collaboration with a chosen industry partner. The college provided students with pathways to follow post-graduation and personally helped me with my application to study further at university. City of Glasgow College was an essential learning experience and gateway to where I am today. Lewis Morrison, former student.

The course has strong engagement with professional organisations both public and private which allowed my classmates and I to get an insight into the real-life application of our studies. Industry engagement was also built into the course where we were given the opportunity to work with companies while completing the second-year project. I found this experience to be priceless when looking for employment. Niall Milroy former student.
