Course description

Following completion of this course, you will typically go to university, or move into industry as supervisors or technicians.



During your studies, you'll have the use of the college's extensive engineering equipment, which includes our mechanical workshop, computer labs running CAD design software along with our hydraulic and pneumatic software and labs.



This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 8.

Learning outcome

Careers

Following successful completion of the HND students typically work at technician level in industry or progress to degree level study.

Continuing Study

Following successful completion of the HND students are able to progress to 3rd year BEng Glasgow Caledonian University. Strathclyde University may offer 2nd year entry.
