Course description

The objectives of this course enables delegates to: - Identify hazards and follow safe systems of work - Demonstrate that they have the necessary practical skills and the knowledge to do their work effectively and efficiently - Meet the requirements to gain a 'Construction Plant Competence Scheme' (CPCS) - Competent Operator Card. Level II VQ Units Mandatory: - Contribute to an Efficient and Effective Work Environment - Contribute to Health and Safety in the Workplace Plus 1 Unit(depending on machine) - Prepare Plant and Machinery to Performance Requirements (Lifting and Transferring) - Prepare Plant and Machinery to Performance Requirements (Extracting and Excavating) - Prepare Plant and Machinery to Performance Requirements (Construction and Formation) Plus 1 Unit (depending on machine): - Transport and Discharge Bulk Material Loads - Extract and Excavate Materials - Lift, Transfer and Position Loads - Distribute, Layer and Consolidate Materials - Lift, Transfer and Position Loads for Access
