Course description

Upon successfully completing the above training/testing, delegates are awarded an NPORS (Traditional) Card, valid for 3 years. To maintain their card and registration with NPORS, operators are advised to complete a 1 Day NPORS Refresher Course every 3 years. The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to: Select and mount the appropriate disc for the work required Have an understanding of responsibilities under current legislation Be able to use a hand held petrol cutter Carry out a pre-use inspection The course will cover the following: - HSWA - PUWER - Other current relevant regulations - Pre-use inspection - Use of various types of abrasive wheels - Selection, testing, mounting and storage - Care, maintenance, transport, handling and storage of abrasive discs - Personal protective equipment The course is highly participative with practical demonstrations highlighted by use of a PowerPoint presentation and videos along with group and individual exercises.
