Forward Tipping Dumpers - Novice Course for CPCS Card

Course description

Upon successful completion of end tests, including a CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test, delegates are awarded a CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) Trained Operator Card (Red), valid for 2 years. The course will enable delegates to: - Operate machine safely & correctly in accordance with manufacturer's instructions & accepted good practice - Understand the causes of instability of truck and load - Carry out a pre-shift inspection - Operate safely under varying site conditions - Position truck for loading from and dumping into excavations - Tow and reverse with small trailers (where applicable) - Understand the responsibilities under current relevant legislation The course can cover the following: - HSWA - PUWER - LOLER - Other current relevant regulations - Introduction to machine - Regulations, standards and exemptions - Maintenance, transport, handling and storage - Driving, loading and unloading - Pre-shift inspections - Coolant, fuel and lubrication - Controls and instruments
