Course description
The objectives of this course enables delegates to: - Identify hazards and follow safe systems of work - Demonstrate that they have the necessary practical skills and the knowledge to do their work effectively and efficiently - Meet the requirements to gain a 'Construction Plant Competence Scheme' (CPCS) Competent Operator Card. Level 4 VQ Units - Develop and Maintain Good Working Relationships - Plan Lifting Activities - Plan and Establish Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental Systems for Lifting Operations - Plan Work Activities and Resources to Meet Work Requirements - Evaluate and Select Work Methods - Plan the Preparation of the Site for the Project - Identify, Allocate and Plan the Deployment and Use of Plant, Equipment or Machinery - Allocate Work and Check People's Performance
Entry requirements
This course is designed for candidates working as a Lift Planner (Appointed Person) who wish to gain a VQ in Lifting Operations. A CSCS MAP Health Safety EnvinmentalTest level must have been successfully completed within 24 months of course dates if applying for a CPCS Blue Card from a CPCS Red Card.
