The SVQ 2 Social Services Children and Young People course at SCQF Level 6 is designed to provide individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills, and qualifications to excel in the field of social services specifically focused on children and young people. Furthermore, assessments are facilitated through the utilization of an E-Portfolio, online meeting and face to face meetings allowing for a dynamic and efficient learning experience. Throughout the course, candidates are given a generous time frame of 12 months to complete the SVQ, providing flexibility and accommodating individual learning needs. The SVQ 2 consists of four mandatory units, which are essential components of the qualification, and two optional units that enable candidates to tailor their learning experience to their specific role and career aspirations. Entry requirements
A knowledge of national occupational standards and social services codes of practice. Must be working or on work placement within early years or working with children and young people. Desirable IT skills , and good literacy.
