VocationalNext Generation Training Limited
Course details
Course description
This course consists of two qualifications and is aimed at people looking to move into or refresher their knowledge for working in the cleaning and domestic industry. The 1-day Emergency First Aid qualification has been designed to allow learners to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to be able to administer first aid to adults in the workplace. The purpose of the qualification is to confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required. The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed. The Cleaning and Disinfection course is ideal for all workers to provide a basic level of Health and Safety knowledge, although it is particularly helpful in domestic and caring roles. REHIS Elementary Cleaning and Disinfection covers legal and moral reasons for cleaning and disinfection as well as the roles of the employer and employee in maintaining standards, obligations, facilities, documented cleaning schedules, monitoring, hazards and risk assessments. This includes COSHH, PPE, record keeping and reporting processes.
