Course description
Course Details – The aim of this qualification is to develop candidates with existing knowledge and skills in gym instruction who would like to pursue a career in personal training. The qualification will be delivered face to face over six days (3 consecutive weekends) with the use of lectures, and learning resources. Once the candidate is qualified, they will be able to train clients on a one-to-one basis and in small groups using advanced training methods and creating programs specific to the client’s needs. This qualification also includes business skills which is an important part of starting a new career as a Personal Trainer. 2023 New delivery structure This course will be delivered in a blended learning format; the first two days will be online (Saturday and Sunday) and then four days face-to-face over the next two consecutive weekends. Due to an element of the course being delivered via Zoom, we ask all learners have a good stable internet connection, and use of a PC, Laptop or Tablet with webcam.
Entry requirements
Learners must hold a suitable level 2 qualification in gym instructing. The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary. There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) and maths involved, so learners should have basic skills in communication and maths pitched at level 2 (as a minimum). Due to an element of the course being delivered via Zoom, we ask all learners have a good stable internet connection, and use of a PC, Laptop or Tablet with webcam.
