Course description
New online course – The aim of this qualification is to develop candidates with existing knowledge and skills in gym instruction who would like to pursue a career in personal training. The qualification will be delivered live online over six days (3 consecutive weekends) with the use of online lectures, and learning resources. It is only the practical assessment that will be required to be held at one of our facilities face to face. Once the candidate is qualified, they will be able to train clients on a one-to-one basis and in small groups using advanced training methods and creating programs specific to the client’s needs. This qualification also includes business skills which is an important part of starting a new career as a Personal Trainer. Other assessment options are available. Entry requirements
Candidates must hold a suitable level 2 qualification in gym instructing. The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary. There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) and maths involved, so learners should have basic skills in communication and maths pitched at level 2 (as a minimum). Due to the course being delivered via Zoom, we ask all learners have a good stable internet connection, and use of a PC, Laptop or Tablet with webcam.
