Course Content Artificial Nails are the most advanced nail enhancement system; they are beautiful to look at and very natural looking. The Acrylic method is durable and flexible making it ideal for long term wearers. The Academy’s course provides you with all the skills and knowledge you need to become a fully qualified Acrylic nail technician. This CPD accredited short course is suitable for those who hold a level 2 manicure qualification, however if no qualification held the course can still be taught with the use of metal tools omitted. The course contains a mixture of theory and practical work, enabling students to competently perform professional Acrylic nail extensions with gel polish finishes on clients. The course provides CPD points to add to your professional record. Training will be guided by industry professionals to help you accomplish the most from your learning experience. The Course will cover: Health, safety and hygiene Anatomy and physiology Structure of the nail and the nail growth Contra-indications Common disorders of the hands and nails Consultation Nail preparation Product knowledge Finishing and perfecting techniques Nail maintenance; rebalancing, repairs and removal Demonstrations Students will carry out supervised treatments Models will be provided for the demo however students are required to bring a minimum of 2 models.
