Course details
Course description
This course is for learners who currently hold a license from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new license-linked qualification requirements to renew their existing license. This course sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications. To complete this course, you must have a valid First Aid certificate with at least one year remaining - if you do not have this certificate, completion of the First Aid certificate will also be included within the course at no extra cost. This course includes some e-learning and self study, but is hybrid learning with class-room based training and examinations that can be taken in a classroom setting or accessed remotely. We cover topics such as terror threats, use of equipment, actions to take in relation to global/critical incidents, physical interventions and associated risk and how to reduce risk.
Entry requirements
You must be over 18 to apply and have an existing SIA Door Supervisor license that requires renewal, or a badge that expired within the past three (3) years. A valid First Aid certificate with one year remaining before expiry is essential to completion but can be achieved through the course if not already held. You must be able to demonstrate clear English communication in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
