SIA Security Officer Top Up

Course description

This course is for learners who currently hold a license from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Security Officer and need to be brought up to date with the new license-linked qualification requirements to renew their existing license. This course sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications. To complete this course, you must have a valid First Aid certificate with at least one year remaining. This course is self-studied and contains an examination. Exams can be taken in a classroom setting or can be accessed remotely. We cover topics such as terror threats and the role of a security operative in the event of a threat, minimising risk to personal safety and actions to take in relation to global incidents. This course is intended for learners who already hold an SIA Security Officer licence and are now required to 'top up' for renewal. The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. It is designed for learners who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Security Officer and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualifications requirements in order to be eligible for their licence renewal. On completion of this course, you will be able to work in the following areas (plus many more); Construction sites Retail and shopping centres Non-residential buildings Transport hubs And all other non-alcohol related premises This course also includes additional Fire Safety Awareness training, which is vital for the Security Industry. (RQF). This qualification is supported by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), who regulate the private security industry.
