Course description
This course is aimed at individuals wishing to up-skill to enhance their CV to apply for work. This certificated course will add to your skill-set and professional development. First Aid and Customer Service are great qualifications to have in general and to set you apart from other applicants to secure work or for promotion opportunities. The Highfield Level 2 Award for Customer Service qualification is designed to support learners working or preparing to work in a customer service role or where using a telephone is a part of their role. It is suitable for all industries where customer service is a requirement. This is the equivalent to the WorldHost Principles of Customer Service qualification content. The qualification covers the principles of customer service including how to meet customers’ expectations, the importance of appropriate behaviour and communication techniques as well as ways to deal with problem customers. The Emergency First Aid qualification has been designed to allow candidates to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to be able to administer first aid to adults in the workplace and covers the following learning outcomes: 1. Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider 2. Be able to assess an incident 3. Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty 4. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking 5. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding 6. Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock 7. Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries In addition to the theory work the course includes practical work and assessment. The practical demonstrations are as follows: • Scene Survey and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation • Recovery Position • Choking • Bleeding
Entry requirements
Customer Service Entry Requirements To register for this qualification, it is recommended that learners meet the following: • Be 14 years of age or above • Have a basic level of English Learners must also have suitable photographic ID. • a valid passport (any nationality) • a signed UK photocard driving licence • a valid warrant card issued by HM forces or the police • another photographic ID card, e.g. employee ID card, student ID card, travel card etc. There is no entry requirements for the emergency first aid element of this course.
