Course description
This course will help you understand the use of Keywords in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Social Media Optimisation (SMO). This theoretical course is excellent for those who want to enter a marketing role or those who currently work in digital marketing in any sector. The course will start by looking at the factors to consider when creating an SEO plan such as deciding between Pay-per-Click and Pay-per-Impression. You will then be able to research other companies and their use of keywords in both SEO and SMO and learn how to use this to your advantage. You then will learn the importance of Mobile Optimisation and why this is important to a business and how businesses might tailor their marketing approach to suit those who use mobile devices. Completing this course will award you 7 credits at SCQF Level 8. The unit "Principles of Keywords and Optimisation" will be added to your SQA profile.
