Course description
This course will help you understand social media and how it fits into the objectives and marketing of a business. This theoretical course is excellent for those who want to enter a marketing role, or those who currently work with a company's social media account in any sector. The course will start by looking at the factors to consider when using social media for a business such as amplification and engagement. You will be able to describe the features and benefits of the different tools and channels that can be used for social media and learn how to plan SMART campaigns while measuring their success. You will learn the importance of social media policy in a business. Finally, you will learn how to identify improvements in your campaigns by monitoring how other businesses use social media for their marketing campaigns. Completing this course will award you 6 credits at SCQF Level 6. The unit " Principles of Social Media within a Business" will be added to your SQA profile.
