MEWP - RTITB SCISSOR LIFT (3A)

Course description

This course will train candidates to operate a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) - Mobile Vertical (also known as a Scissor Lift or 3A) to operator level. The course will be carried out in accordance with Road Transport Industry Training Board (RTITB) guidelines and on successful completion candidates will receive an accredited certificate, Photo eCard and be registered on the RTITB National Operators Database. This will provide evidence of qualification for prospective employers. The course duration will be one day. There will be a maximum of 3 candidates on the course. The course will start at 0830 hrs and finish at 1630 hrs each day. This opportunity also includes access to an online Working at Height Awareness course. This course is made up of 11 modules that the candidate works through at their own pace. By the end of this course, you will be able to: Identify legal duties of employers and employees; Assess the risks of working at height; Look at controls and measures that can be put in place to minimise those risks; Identify correct procedures and the regulations covering them including Working at Height Regulations; Identify the use of suitable equipment. CPD, IIRSM & Gatehouse Awards Approved, this course is an ideal addition to anyone who is undertaking scissor lift training.
